Questions? |
How did you become involved in racing: Growing up watching my uncle's race, it always sparked interest in me. Racing is in our family's blood! |
What is your favorite race track and why: Tough question, my all time favorite track has to be 5/8 mile Bridgeport. Since that's the place where I cut my teeth so to speak, it will forever be the most special and most memorable to me |
Toughest Aspect of racing: The toughest aspect of racing in my opinion are shared between 2 major issues. They're both equally important so this isn't a special order. One of them is the Going Forward mentality. It's easy to get ourselves in a rut, or experience extreme frustration after a bad night/week and then let that feeling overtake our lives and burry us deep into an even bigger pit without realizing it. The best and the hardest road for you to take is keeping pushing forward and never give up. It's far from the easiest decision but it's the best decision. That being said, another tough aspect of racing is the amount of repeated effort and repeated hard work it takes to not only show up every week but to be competitive as well as having a strong car. Most people think of hard work as sweating for 2-4 hours in a whole weeks time after work but racing takes every bit of your effort, strength, skill, dedication and man hours that you're possibly made of. Some of the weeks it seems like it goes to waste but that's when you need the going forward aspect and to keep working at perfection. You'll thank yourself in the long run, at least I always have. |
